about erin

Erin Sedra is a graphic designer and creative strategist with nearly a decade of experience spanning higher education, nonprofit organizations, and large-format commercial print production. Known for her versatility and adaptability, she approaches each project with a balance of creative vision and strategic intent.

Erin earned her MFA from Missouri State University, where she served as both a teaching and design assistant while completing her terminal degree. She later joined Black Hills State University as an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design, teaching courses across all levels and collaborating with journalism and photography faculty to foster interdisciplinary learning. As co-advisor of Ponder Magazine, she led the student design team to earn three national design awards.

Currently, she specializes in commercial large-format design and environmental graphics. Her role bridges concept development, client communication, and production execution—translating ideas into tangible, high-impact installations. She regularly manages complex projects involving material selection, fabrication coordination, and on-site implementation, ensuring that each piece is both visually compelling and technically precise.

Alongside her professional work, Erin has maintained an active freelance practice for over seven years. Her client work ranges from brand identity systems and responsive websites to large-scale campaigns and interactive publications. Notably, she collaborated with an investment group to produce a 140-page interactive luxury catalog for a multi-million-dollar gem and mineral collection.

Another meaningful project involved designing the brand and website for an Arizona-based nonprofit supporting Congolese refugees during the COVID-19 pandemic—an experience that reinforced her belief in design’s power to advance the common good.

Erin’s career is marked by significant achievements, including a gold award at the United States International Poster Biennial. Her work has been exhibited internationally, traveling to Canada, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, Italy, Poland, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates. Today, she continues to work at the intersection of design, strategy, and production—creating thoughtful, impactful experiences for both clients and communities.
